Fixed Braces

Fixed brace designs have come a long way since the clunky and unsightly models that patients (particularly adults) steered clear of in the past. The Damon brace system is a market-leading, innovative marriage of effective mechanics and comfort that can straighten your teeth in less time than traditional metal braces.

We’ll ask you to attend the practice for adjustments around every 6-10 weeks.

Damon are custom made and particularly suited to open bite, cross bite and significant crowding. After measurements and digital images of your smile have been taken, your custom Damon brace can be made up. When your brace is ready, we will invite you back to the practice for a fitting (which can be carried out in a single appointment) and your treatment with Damon braces can begin. We’ll ask you to attend the practice for fittings around every 10 weeks.

Damon Clear is for those wishing to opt for a more discreet brace that blends in with their smile. As they have no visible metal parts (the brackets are tooth-coloured) or elastic ties that can discolour during treatment, they offer great cosmetic appeal for patients – ideal for those in client and customer-facing professions and jobs.

This also results in improved oral hygiene; elastic ties have been proven to collect harmful bacteria which can increase your chances of developing gingivitis, the early onset of gum disease. As the brackets are smoother, there is less discomfort to the cheeks and lips as can be the case with conventional fixed braces.
